Do you offer financial assistance?

We work with a number of local and national funds who may be able to offer limited financial assistance to help you cover the cost of your care or travel. If you have questions about insurance or our fees, please call our office at 253-471-3464.

Is abortion safe?

Abortion is one of the safest medical procedures. Less than 0.05% of first-trimester abortion patients have a major complication that might need hospital care.

Is abortion legal?
Will it hurt?

We have Anesthesia Providers on site who will create a comfort plan with you to ensure we are meeting your needs. Our goal is to ensure that you feel no discomfort during any of the procedures. With some medications, you will not be able to drive and will need to have someone pick you up. If you have any questions, please contact us.

How long does the procedure take?

Abortion procedures in the first trimester can typically be completed in less than 5 minutes. Second-trimester procedures can typically be completed in less than 20 minutes.

How long will I be at the clinic?

Although the actual procedure itself lasts 4-8 minutes, you can expect to be at our clinic for 2-3 hours. There are medical forms to be completed, lab work and ultrasound to be done, materials to review as well as informed consent, and recovery time. We will give you the individual attention you deserve.

How long is the recovery time?

Many women can return to work or school the day after their abortion. You may have cramping and spotting for a couple of weeks after your procedure, and this can be managed with over the counter pain medications.

Will I be able to get pregnant after my abortion?

There is no evidence that abortion has any effect on fertility or future pregnancies. Having an abortion does not interfere with your ability to have children in the future.

Is it too late to have an abortion?

We provide abortion care up through 26 weeks of pregnancy. We can estimate how far you are into the pregnancy by the first day of your last menstrual period or through ultrasound for a definite idea of your gestation. We will provide referrals and options for those who may be over our gestational limit.
